Massage Practitioners
Suzen Huang is a massage therapist with a beautiful office in Arlington on the corner of
Mass Ave. and route 60. Her work is very soothing, slow and methodical with a focus
on melting tension with her touch. She offers a number of different services such as
pregnancy and hot stone massage and is in the process of learning Zero Balancing a
style that helps balance a persons body energy with his/her's physical structure. Suzen
has such a nice touch, her gentle approach really calms the nervous system and allows
my muscles to "let go" without effort. A great therapist for those who have never had a
professional massage before and are little nervous about the experience.
Sam Peck is an Orthopedic massage therapist. What is an orthopedic massage therapist
you ask? From my own experience I feel it's a cross between a sports therapist and a
physical therapist. He works with many athletes and people who suffer from common
illnesses such as plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff flair up and decreased range of motion
due to scar tissue. He has an office within a Mind-Body Center over in Teele Sq.
Somerville and is very knowledgeable. If you're the kind of person who wants to know
exactly what muscle is causing that crunch in your neck then Sam is the therapist for
you. I see Sam to treat my repetitive motion / overused muscles. He works out those
specific spots to keep my body running symmetrically
Personal Trainers
Keith Colby (AKA Coach) is president of Colby Conditioning and was voted one of
America's top personal trainers by Men's Journal. I've done some training with Keith
and he had me shed 20 pounds in a matter of weeks with his dietary advice. He is a
role model for trainers everywhere because he practices what he preaches. I've worked
with Keith for two years now and have NEVER seen him eat anything unhealthy. He
brings in his lunch everyday and eats his raw organic veggies and although he has many
clients he works out daily. Being in a health care setting and seeing Keith everyday has
really kept me on track and inspired me to be healthier. I recommend Keith to people
who want to drop weight, get out of personal rut and make a real life change. He works
with clients who have had injuries or led sedentary lifestyles and need to shock there
systems and getting themselves feeling better from the inside out. I recommend signing
up for his newsletter too. He's great at sending you inspirational stories and tons of
cutting edge health news. Keith trains at Joint Ventures Physical Therapy & Fitness.
Ali Winslow is a trainer who specializes in triathlon training. She also teaches a spin
class at Landry's Bicycles in Boston. If you are looking to compete in triathlons she is a
great coach. If you like to compete in sports and have a "winner take all" attitude Ali
just may be your secret weapon to accomplish that. Ali is also a trainer at Joint
Ventures Physical Therapy & Fitness.
Eutopia personal training facility is a great place for those who want to be totally
focused and need extra attention in rebuilding their bodies. It is always one on one
training and it's not within a gym, it's you and your trainer. The are located in the heart
of Brookline Village and offer great care to customers. I would consult with Colleen the
owner first to see which trainer would best fit your personality. Check them out at
Eutopia
Pilates
Rachel Berger is a physical therapist and pilates instructor in Coolidge Corner. She also
offers cranio-sacral therapy a light touch form of body work that increases the flow of
spinal fluid to increase healing. Rachel's wealth of knowledge, soft touch and calming
personality keeps her clients/patients coming back year after year. Rachel Berger MSPT
Doctors
Dr. Pete Viteritti, aka Dr. Pete a sports chiropractor. Dr. Pete just started working with
us at Joint Ventures and from what I have seen so far he seems more like a sports
doctor and less like a chiropractor. He works with lots of pro sports teams and is
highly knowledgeable. I am looking forward to learning a lot from him in the years to
come.
Dr. Jordana Szpiro, podiatrist. I have known Dr. Szpiro for years and have even had
her work on my feet. She is very helpful and gives a wide range of treatment options. I
love her "bedside manner", she really empowers her patients. I have sent many clients
to her who have had great success. Her office is in Backbay/Kenmore Square and she
performs surgery at several near by hospitals. Boston Common Podiatry
Acupuncture
Christina Dea is long time friend and a therapist I consult with quite often. She is a
person who practices what she preaches and is very good at what she does. I've
recommended her many times because she takes great care of her patients and above
all is a person who really cares for the people she treats. She has a great new office and
is worth checking out. Find her at Back Bay Acupuncture.
Mary Kinneavy is a therapist with 20 years in the field. She been working with Joint
Ventures since 2007 and is also a professor at the New England School of
Acupuncture. Her wealth of knowledge is valuable to all but her specialization in
magnet therapy makes her a true find. You can find her at Joint Ventures Physical
Therapy & Fitness in our Packards Corner location.
